Production Tool Instructions

Overview

Use this tool to project start and end times for parent rolls and doff projections for selected production lines.Parent Roll and Doff Projection

Steps

1. Select Production Lines
   Go to the Select Lines section at the top of the form.
   Check the boxes next to the lines you want to include (e.g., Line 2, Line 3).
2. Enter Production Data
   For each selected line, input the following:
   
   • Start Time: Enter the planned start date and time.
   • Line Speed (m/min): Enter the operating speed in meters per minute.
   • Parent Roll Length (m): Enter the parent roll length in meters.
   • Doff Count: Enter the planned number of doffs (roll changes).
3. Calculate Projections
   Click the Calculate Projections button.
   The tool will display projections for each line, including start times, end times, roll lengths, total production time, and doff timings.
4. Adjust Parent Roll Data (If Needed)
   If the actual doff count differs, click the Adjust Roll button next to the parent roll.
   Enter the new doff count when prompted; projections will update automatically.
5. Review Output Details
   The projections include:
   
   • Parent Roll Start and End Times
   • Actual Roll Length after adjustments
   • Total Production Time for each roll (in hours and minutes)
   • Doff Projections, detailing when each doff occurs and the length produced by that time
6. Repeat as Necessary
   To make changes or update information, adjust the input fields and click Calculate Projections again.
